The concert season of the "Amici della Musica - Guido Michelli" (Friends of Music) Society 2003 –2004 is a major season, focusing on the great theatre, which increasingly concentrates on including the performance of top-level artists.

 

Thanks to the co-operation of the recently reopened Le Muse Theatre, the opportunity has arisen for important novelties to be included this season, such as the presence of orchestra companies alongside world-famous soloists. The Camerata Salzburg will inaugurate the season at Le Muse Theatre on 15^th October directed by one of the hottest violinists today, Leonid Kavakos, winner of the “N. Paganini” Contest in 1988, while the Camerata Ireland with its founder, pianist and conductor Barry Douglas, will be performing in February at the Teatro Sperimentale. Then a great orchestra, the Prague Philharmonia with Sir James Galway, one of the greatest flutists in the history of this instrument, will conclude the season in May 2004 at Le Muse. In addition to this novelty, there is also an increase in the number of concerts at the Le Muse Theatre, from three to five, the Christmas Concert in conjunction with the Le Muse Theatre Foundation, with the performance of Berlioz's “Sacred Trilogy: L’enfance du Christ”, and the most welcome return for the Ancona audience of two musicians, Krystian Zimerman, one of the finest pianists in the world, who played in a memorable concert in Ancona approximately ten years ago, and Uto Ughi, who will perform at Le Muse Theatre with pianist Alessandro Specchi in April. Six concerts at the Teatro Sperimentale: pianist Freddy Kempf, one of the best of the new generation, 'cellist Steven Isserlis with pianist Ana Maria Vera, guitarist Stefano Cardi, the Trio Pietro De Maria - Massimo Quarta - Enrico Dindo, the Skampa String Quartet and the above-mentioned Camerata Ireland with Douglas.

The season ticket campaign: from 5^th to 13^th September to renew existing season tickets, from 15^th to 30^th September for new season tickets. Season tickets are on sale at the “Bucchi” Music Store, no. 68 Corso Stamira, Ancona. Advanced ticket sales for concerts played at Le Muse Theatre will start on 3^rd October from the theatre box office.
