THE THIRD
KOLTÈS The
trilogy dedicated to the great French playwright ends with Roberto
Zucco, directed by Cherif,
which is on stage at the Mole Theatre in Ancona from
22 to 27 July The Koltès Project, which was thought up by the
artistic director of the Civic Theatre of the Marche,
Giampiero Solari,
ends with the staging of Roberto Zucco directed
by Cherif at the Mole Theatre from 22 to 27
July. The
urban-artistic project, which is dedicated to the French playwright, was
developed over the course of the year around three texts: In the
Solitude of the Cotton Fields
by Mario Martone at the Mole Theatre last
June, Black battles with dogs directed by Giampiero Solari at the Muse
Theatre and Roberto Zucco by Cherif. Three texts interpreted by three directors of the
new generation, who love to work with the classics without disregarding
comparisons with contemporary drama. The three
productions came to life in Ancona, amongst the
spaces of the Mole Vanvitelliana (Martone’s
installation and a first workshop with the actors chosen by Cherif
for Roberto Zucco last year, in June 2002) and
the Muse Theatre, where Black battles with dogs featuring Remo Girone (on tour next season
as well) made its debut in February 2003. The show,
Roberto Zucco, will see 14 actors take the stage,
with Pierluigi Fogacci
playing the lead role. Andrew Bowden will be in charge of the set design, and Stefania Cempini of the costume
design. For more
